Hackberry's in La Crosse
Pretty fantastic portabello burger with arugula and sweet onion marmalade. They even had vegan mayo!
I've meant to try this restaurant each time I've been to the Organic Farming Conference in La Crosse, WI. Finally I'm here. It's located above the People's Food Co-op.
oooohhhhh . . . yum! Portobello "burgers" can be overdone -- it seems like every restaurant offers that as their lone veg option. I'm so glad you found a good one!
Ah! I couldn't click fast enough when I saw the title of your post in my feed. I love Hackberry's and wish it existed when I went to college there. Ryan and I ate there twice during our last visit (dined in and took out). Mmm....
